The Olympic spirit was in full effect when United Airlines hosted their #TeamUnited event to launch the official #TeamUnited commercial, kicking-off the Olympic Winter Games 2018 that are taking place in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
There’s no better feeling than being able to celebrate collectively with those around you and there was nothing but love and pride for #TeamUSA during the #TeamUnited experience that took place in New York City on Wednesday, January 17.

The night started off with some great interactive experiences that brought together United employees, athletes, influencers and media. After getting a photo op and doing our best skiing impersonation, we were ushered downstairs to prepare for the official release of the United Airlines commercial featuring #TeamUSA athletes, including: Gus Kenworhty, Jamie Anderson, J.R. Celski, Erin Hamlin, Nathen Chen, and Paralympic gold medalist Nikko Landeros

It’s A Team Effort
What set this experience apart from so many others was the personal connection that everyone in attendance was able to gain from their stories. Each athlete shared a personal message to everyone in the room, thanking them for all the continued support, and you could feel the sense of pride they had not only for their country, but also because they were part of #TeamUnited.
The theme for the night was “They’re Super. We Can Fly “and that was front and center from the moment you walked in as not only were the #TeamUnited athletes immortalized as action figures, but they also had members of the United Airlines team in both the commercial and throughout the event. They even got their own custom action figures that were presented at the event and shared with all the guests.
